Bud and Jack arrived on 25^th of July. (Yes two twins: because two is better!)
These names are not the real ones, but they have a meaning.
Bud is due to the way he eats and Jack is because he's really a pirate!

That's not an happy (second) birthday for her.
After a great year she's going to die, it seems. Probably the strange summer with an hot july and a cold august, probably it's new home. I don't know, but it's a sad event.
Also her two doughter are died the last month.

Dear (Beta) Blogger,

DISCLAIMER: those are only thougths of a Blogger user, from the point of view of a Blogger user.

A lot of users are complaining about the Beta Blogger's bugs. Yes, there are some bugs (as in every beta), but I think everyone was expecting a GMail-style beta.
They're wrong.
In my opinion the real problem is not the number of bugs, but the way they've handled this release.
It seems an half baked product:

• A new super-fancy-visual template editor, but no raw-html editor. A lot Blogger users were using it in the Classic version, so, why a release without it?
• After a couple of weeks (thanks to the users feedback, it seems) they've added the raw-html editor. Looking at the templates' xml source it's clear Blogger Team has extended the template capabilities adding a new whole simil-scripting-language. GREAT!! But... where is the documentation?... Coming soon... they write...
• In the Classic Blogger a real gimme-it-now-please feature was the future posting. Now, with a dynamic serving system it should be really easy to implement... sorry no future posting at the moment.
• New system, new API... as for now, third party applications (like Filckr) and also Google applications like Picasa and Writely are not working with the beta API. A little pre-beta-testing could be better far all (users and Blogger) in order to have third party applications working with the beta from the very beginning.
  

In my opinion the new Beta, after those initial moments, will really be an excellent product, with a lot of possibilities, but the way it's being released is really unproductive and strange (at least for Google).

They must really read my blog!
At the moment, as suggested, I'm trying the new template in this test-blog.
Everything is working fine, the new options in the raw-html-edit are wonderful... it's a completely new scripting language.
The only problem I have is that I cannot find the "older post" sidebar element... Added that I'll switch this blog to the new beta (so if I disappear you now why).

Ladies and Gentlemen the Beta is here!

Today I found the link to upgrade to the beta version of Blogger... but, wait...
They write:

You can't use Labels unless you are also using Layouts. This is because we don't yet have tags to handle Labels in the classic templates.

And so, with my really nice (?) template I can't use categories labels? And so, where is the point?
I just sit down and wait... (sadly)

Blogger goes beta (finally!)

Back from the summer-blog-vacancies I found a big surprise: Blogger goes beta!!
After some long long rumbling every Blogger user will be happy... with this beta we get a lot new features (and finally those categories labels everyone wants!).
If only I could find that bright-new-gimme-the-beta link... where have you hidden it??

After a not so good match, better the first half, too bad the second one, Italy is the World Champion!!!
A difficult and long tournament... but Italy is the winner!!!

Note 2, to Zidane: Can a great player do that action in a world championship final match? Not, really.
Note 3, To Barthez: One shot, one goal, what a goalkeeper. Eh!

Goals: Grosso, Del Piero.

A really long and hard match, well played, missed some, unlucky others... but, when everybody was fearing the penalties, finally won!!!
Good work guys!!!!


Note 1, to the German team: you were really too nervous... and do you know that if a team put the ball outside, due to a player on the ground, you HAVE TO GIVE THE BALL BACK?!?!?!?!? That's really unfair.
Note 2: well done Del Piero!!!
Note 3: Buffon, a super goalkeeper as usual!!!
Note 4: W la Pizza!!!
